"All we have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us." JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
As long as I can remember, I have taken great joy in creating things. From an early love of art class that evolved into a hobby of tinkering and making random fun things out of anything I could find, this part of me has grown. Over the years as my interest and knowledge in mathematics grew, I also gained a great appreciation and desire for problem solving. After I graduated college, I struggled to decide on a career path I wanted to pursue, because I knew for it to be something that would stick it would have to satisfy both of these parts of my life. When I began to explore the world of software development, I thought maybe I had found something. The creativity and problem solving that is involved in development, as well as the cooperative effort of working with a team to accomplish a common goal, are amazing, and I've now found that development is a great way to scratch my itch for things. Not only does this career path offer a lot of benefits to life, it also offers opportunity to create things that will really benefit the world we live in. I'm excited to find a place with a company that I can get behind, and I have a great desire to work on projects that will improve the lives of everyday people.
